![]() Depending on the brand and gauge type (electronic/mechanical), the difference will be how the connection is made from the pressure source to the gauge itself. They may have taken longer than some other shops.but this was the first time they had installed Defi BF gauges. Peak boost hit so far is 18psi and 1500 deg F. Just a bit of the EGT gauge is obstructed from full view by the Boost gauge (I'm 6'3"), but not enough for it to be an issue. I just need to fabricate some plastic peices to fill in the gaps there for asthetic reasons. Stuck it in the worthless cup holder slot. Was going to stick the the control unit under my Alpine.but I think I've decided to get a Pioneer AVIC D1.so I would need to move it anyways. However, for some reason that didn't want to work.so we stuck the vacuum T right off the reirc valve and then it decided to work just fine. They tapped the boost off the line right off the compressor housing.per the write up that BoricuaSTI did. They quoted me 4-6 and it ended up being 4.5 hours. I went with the $65 since they had installed my Alpine and did a good job. One quoted $75 an hour and the other $65 an hour. Found a couple local shops that do this kind of work. Got a good deal on the gauges and control unit from. Well it took a long time but I finnally got my Defi setup in.
